Enscape allows architects, designers, engineers and visualization professionals to transform their models into immersive, high-quality 3D environments without needing to export the project to a separate rendering application.

Changes made to your model can be visualized in Enscape, making it ideal for design reviews, presentations, client walkthroughs and producing professional architectural renders.

Important: Enscape is a rendering and visualization plugin and requires a compatible host application such as SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad or Vectorworks.

Revit LT is not supported because Autodesk does not permit third-party plugins in Revit LT.

Windows System Requirements

Operating System

64-bit Windows operating system required

• Windows 10 64-bit or later
• Windows 11 64-bit supported

The computer must also meet the requirements of the CAD/BIM application being used with Enscape.

Graphics Card

Enscape relies heavily on the graphics card (GPU) for real-time rendering.

A dedicated NVIDIA or AMD graphics card with dedicated VRAM is strongly recommended.

Minimum

• Dedicated GPU
• 4 GB dedicated VRAM
• Current compatible graphics driver

Integrated graphics using shared system memory are not recommended for Enscape rendering.

Recommended

For a significantly better experience:

• Modern NVIDIA GeForce RTX or professional equivalent
• Modern AMD Radeon/Radeon Pro equivalent
• 8 GB VRAM or more recommended
• Latest manufacturer graphics drivers

For large and complex architectural projects, additional GPU performance and VRAM are strongly recommended.

Virtual Reality

For VR workloads, a higher-performance GPU is recommended. Systems intended for demanding VR projects should preferably have approximately 12 GB VRAM or more.

Processor

A modern multi-core Intel or AMD processor capable of comfortably running the selected CAD/BIM application is recommended.

Enscape’s rendering workload is primarily GPU-based, so graphics-card performance generally has a greater impact on rendering performance than CPU performance.

Memory

Minimum: 8 GB RAM

Recommended: 16 GB RAM or more

For large Revit, SketchUp, Archicad, Rhino or Vectorworks projects, 32 GB RAM or more may provide a better overall workflow.

Storage

• SSD recommended
• Additional storage required for Enscape assets, project files and exported renders
• A fast SSD improves project and asset loading times

Internet Connection

An internet connection may be required for:

• Installation and activation
• License authentication
• Downloading online assets
• Accessing connected Enscape/Chaos services

Enscape does not include SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad or Vectorworks. A compatible host application must already be installed separately.

Performance depends heavily on the complexity of your projects and the graphics hardware installed in your computer. Customers working with large architectural models, high-resolution textures, VR or high-quality rendering should use a system exceeding the minimum requirements.
